What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is the gentle infusion of water into the colon, which fills the colon allowing impacted waste to be removed.  It is referred to as irrigation, colon therapy, colonics or high enemas.
Colon Hydrotherapy is a means of cleansing the colon of accumulated wastes and facilitating detoxification of the body in general.  It can also help restore impaired bowel functions, improve vascular and lymphatic circulation, and result in increased nutrient absorption.  The removal of waste and other undesirable material is a process.  It goes together with diet, good fluids, herbal teas, fruit and vegetable juices and at least (6-8 8 oz. glasses of water per day) and regular exercise.
The colon hydrotherapy machine allows for the inflow of water and the outflow of fecal matter and other materials, while the client lies on his/her back on the treatment table.  The pressure and temperature of the water are controlled by the therapist and may be varied to facilitate the treatment. The materials eliminated can be viewed through the observation tube.  The client should feel relaxed and comfortable during this procedure.
An initial series of three treatments are recommended.  You should have the first two colonics of a series within 24 hours and a third within a seven day period.  However, three in a row is optimal.  This is because you are beginning a process and you want to keep the hydration going.
After getting colon hydrotherapy you may continue with your normal daily activities.  You may feel empty, relaxed and wonderful, or the body may feel weary and tired.  This is simply your body working out and processing through its cleansing period; so proper rest is important for your body to recuperate and rejuvenate.  It is also important to drink plenty of liquids -- distilled or spring water, herbal teas, fruit or vegetable juices and replace good bacteria.  Eat light, preferably soups or pureed foods.  Eliminate or reduce flesh consumption. (Especially beef, pork and chicken).
